Heat Treating:

Open-Roll, Gas-Fired, Roller Hearth Continuous Annealing, Normalizing and Tempering (Capability Low Temperature Tempering Up to 2100°F Austenitizing). Water Spray Quench Option
(Routine for Stainless Steels and Nickel-Based alloys) – (Furnace width 5 ft. x 75 ft. long as five (5) independent zones – 15 feet long each) – Maximum tube diameter 3.000” OD – Lengths up to 90 feet long.

Pickling:

Full pickle line for stainless steel and nickel-base alloy and bar processing to include: deglassing, descaling, pre-cold forming lubricating (oxalate coating and lime coating), post-cold drawing/reducing cleaning, finish white pickling, alkaline (caustic) degreasing, passivation treatments, deiojnized water rinsing, etc. Acids utilized include: cold nitric acid, mixed hot nitric/hydrofluoric acid, hot sulfuric acid, hot caustic permanganate, hot oxalic/boric acid. Water rinsing accompanies acid treatment cycles. Pickle cycles are custom designed for the specific grades and applications. Nickel alloys exclude Monel alloy pickling.

Cold Drawing:

Two (2) triple-stand drawbenches (80,000# and 60,000#).
Bar sizes range from 2.200” start round-to-round
Bar sizes range from 1.655” start round-to-hex (two pass)
Tubes lengths up to 90’
Tube sizes range from 2.625” start, reduction dependent

Tube Reducing (Pilgering):

Two (2) tube reducing machines, one (1) 3-1/2” and one (1) 2-1/2”

Can accommodate maximum up to 4.500” start to a 0.840” finish size
Set-ups are specific to toolage availability, but custom toolage can be purchased depending upon volume requirement justification.

Straightening:

5 Roll 20 SD Sutton Rotary Machine can accommodate up to 5.000” OD tube/4.000” OD bar down to an 0.800” bar. This is a deflection-process straightener.

6 Roll Mack-Hemp Rotary Machine can accommodate a range from 0.200” OD up to 2.000” tube or bar. This is a deflection-process straightener.

Farquhar Hydraulic Punch (Gag) Straightener – Primarily for tubing and smaller bar sizes.

Medart 16 Roll Dual Plane Shape Straightener – Used primarily for Hex Bar Straightening.

OD Belt Polishing:

Two (2) Belt Polishers (#814 and #914 Production Machines) can accommodate a size range from 0.200” OD to 3.000” OD, tube or bar.
